Yesterday I waited for a train in Downham Market, Norfolk: The land that time forgot. The cafe next to the station gave me shelter from the cold, a mug of tea and a piece of flapjack until my train to Ely was due. Downham Market is a little down at heel, but it has a nostalgic charm.
